IT Manager

Reporting to the CFO, the IT manager has overall responsibility of overseeing the information technology department in support of organizational goals, policies, and strategy. The role will provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, managerial, and strategic direction to the IT team for system support; help desk; network security; manage third party suppliers and vendors; and the maintenance of infrastructure for each DFF locations. The manager will possess advanced technical knowledge and a dedication to the adoption and implementation of industry best practices.
**Responsibilities**
- Ensures critical systems are available 24/7 for operations and reporting
- Ensures all systems are up-to-date (latest OS) and setup using best security practices
- Preparing and submitting capital and operating budgets for IT
- Ensures regular checks on network and data security are conducted
- Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
- Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organization
- Designing training programs and workshops for staff
- Conducting regular system audits
- Running and sharing regular operation system reports with senior staff
- Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
- Managing and reporting on the allocation of IT budget
- Performance management of IT team members
- Identifying opportunities for team training and skills advancement
- Provides and maintains a safe working environment for all employees and contractors
