Front Desk Cashier Clerk

John Ross & Sons Ltd. is a fourth generation, family owned, scrap metal recycler. The company is the largest scrap metal recycling facility in Atlantic Canada and has been in operation for over 70 years. John Ross & Sons Ltd. specializes in purchasing and processing all scrap metals. We are currently looking for a Front Desk Cashier Clerk to join our team in Goodwood

Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday 7am-5pm. Saturdays 7am-12noon as scheduled.

Key Duties/Responsibilities: Reporting directly to the Office Manager, the essential functions of the Administration Clerk will include, but are not limited to:

- Reception Duties
- Customers Service
- Scaling Truck Weights
- Document Processing
- Data Entry
- Maintaining Purchases Spreadsheets
- Cash Dispenser and Reconciliation
- General Office Filing
- Assist all departments with administrative tasks as and when required
- Keeping work area clean and organize

Knowledge/Experience:

- 2-4 years’ experience in a cash environment; able to multi task in a fast-past industrial environment with a positive and friendly manner
- Highly organized with an ability to prioritize a changing work load
- Attention to detail is a must
- Knowledge of accounts payable/receivable will be considered an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Wage: $18/hr plus benefits.
