Electrospinning Technician

**Position - Electrospinning Technician**

UFT CAN. INC. in Brantford, ON is seeking two (2) experienced Electrospinning Technicians to join our team.

**Education**:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

**Job Responsibilities and Duties include**:
Operate and support the electrospinning process by being responsible for:

- Supporting the electrospinning process from a top / down approach
- Managing batching of proprietary chemical solution
- Using lab equipment to ensure chemical properties are accurate
- Learning, creating and sharing spinning strategies with team so skills and quality continue to improve
- Building and/or modifying machine parts if necessary, to adapt/attempt new strategies
- Performing preventative maintenance throughout production to ensure an efficient and lasting run
- Performing product testing for every roll of material produced

**Job Skills Required**:

- One (1) year previous experience operating or maintaining electrospinning equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure
- Willingness to work flexibly
- Strong electrical or fabrication skills
- Strong chemical and mechanical knowledge and skills are required overall.
- An Electrospinning Technician will use both but will largely perform tasks where they prove most capable

Position is full time, consisting of approximately forty to forty-four (40-44) hours per week, at an hourly rate of $31.79/hr, exclusive of benefits and bonuses. 8-hr shift varies throughout week
