**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Director, Communications and Corporate Responsibility (CR), as the **Manager, Corporate Communications **you are a customer-service oriented communications leader responsible for implementing and evaluating effective internal marketing & communications plans. You are a “big idea” person, with a strategic and creative mind needed to achieve communication plan goals. You also support brand equity development, change management activities, and people & culture mandates. The Manager, Corporate Communications is responsible for the supervision, engagement, and advancement of the department’s communications and marketing specialists.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing daily activities and contributing as a member of the Communications department to establish annual and seasonal communication projects, corporate editorial platforms, CR-activities, and communications requests with internal clients.
- Strategically developing and implementing effective communication plans that support Qualico’s purpose and strengthens Qualico's values amongst employees.
- Assisting with the change management activities and communications surrounding new programs, services, policies and procedures, and other major company initiatives through development and rollout of content strategies for internal platforms.
- Ensuring consistent, clear, and compelling narrative in all communications that represents the values of the Qualico brand, recognizing the input and perspectives of various stakeholders, and enabling mutual understanding and respect amongst employees.
- Developing effective internal/external relationships that collaborate/engage stakeholders to capitalize on opportunities to impact business and target audience.
- Leading and/or assisting in event planning and promotion for employee-focused events.
- Acting as a protector of the brand, advocate, and ambassador by attending industry events.
- Creating systems that allow for efficiency and role productivity.

**Essential Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related studies.
- Minimum 5 years corporate communications related experience focused on internal employee-directed experience and team leadership.
- Experience managing and organizing communications projects and initiatives.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to provide clear and concise communication counsel.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with any of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) is preferred.
- Experience working in a privately owned business with colleagues spread across a national model, is a strong asset.

**Working Conditions**

You primarily work in an office setting during regular business hours. Overtime and travel within Winnipeg and within the regions we operate, to work closely with stakeholders, may occasionally be required.
