The Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre is a membership based, charitable organization that was established over 50 years ago. Our in-house groups include the Oxford Quilters Guild, Painters, Potters, Rug Hookers and Fibre Arts Group. We also have an exhibition gallery and member gift shop. We provide the opportunity for creative expression and development for those of all ages in Ingersoll and surrounding area. Our aim is to offer a creative setting in a friendly, nourishing environment, and to be financially accessible so that no one is excluded.

We are looking for an experienced **Arts Administrator** that will be the go-to person for the Centre. As the sole employee, you will support the Board of Directors by ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the Centre. In this fast paced work environment, you will require exceptional time management and organizational skills, be self-sufficient, and able to think quickly on your feet. You must have superb communication skills with a detail-oriented mindset. **Responsibilities**:

- Coordinating classes and registrations; updating the website and social media activity; maintaining an accurate membership list; welcoming visitors; scheduling room bookings; following up on building maintenance and contracts; ordering supplies.
- Oversee children's programming for summer camp and PD days.
- Collect and keep accurate records of all monetary transactions (i.e. PayPal, credit/debit card, cheques).
- Assist Treasurer with month end reconciliation and annual tax receipts.
- Promote the ICAC and membership growth in the community.
- Cultivate, enhance and maintain positive public relations and community partnerships.
- Engage in cooperative dialogue with arts organizations to keep abreast of best practices and recommend/share these with the Board.
- Research grant opportunities.
- Orient and supervise volunteers and summer students as per policies.
- Provide background information and support to working committees; attend committee meetings as required.
- Keep the Board apprised of issues regarding member services, safety, policies and procedures, events, budget, building maintenance, etc.
- Attend monthly Board meetings (after hours) and implement Board decisions within the scope of the Administrator position.
- Other duties as requested by the Board.

**Education**:

- Preferred post-secondary, college or university, Office Administration or Arts related.

**Experience**:

- 5+ years in an office administration role
- 2+ years social media experience
- Strong computer (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Wordpress, Canva) and social media skills (Facebook, Instagram, MailChimp)
- Experience reporting to and/or volunteering on a Board of Directors

**Requirements**:

- Vulnerable Sector police check (paid for by employer)
- Current CPR/first aid (paid for by employer)
