The Dietitian provides nutrition education to in-patients, out-patients and care providers who functions as a resource for our health professionals. Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer the Dietitian will develop, manage, and coordinate the activities of the Health Centre’s Clinical Nutrition Services.
Participates in the development of program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. Ensures a health and safe workplace by being a proactive role model, promoting the internal responsibility system and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, encouraging staff participating in all safety and wellness programs.

The Dietitian may also provide support and services to clients in their home as well as provide coverage for Long Term Care, when required.

**Basic Requirements**
- Successful completion of a university level degree in Nutrition and Food Science.
- Successful completion of an approved dietetic internship.
- Eligible for registration with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills required to teach patients, families, and health care providers.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and the maintenance of high professional standards.
- Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, performance levels, disciplinary history, and positive work references.
- Ability to work in a manner that exemplifies the core values of the West Parry Sound Health Centre: _Compassion, Accountability, Rights and Responsibilities, Excellence, and Safety_.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a clinical dietitian in a multi-disciplinary health care setting.
