**Duties**:

- Completing independent online training, as well as one-on-one and group training, in audio software including, but not limited to, Audacity;
- Participating in exercises to develop skills for recording audio files, including capturing high-quality audio content through the use of microphones and recording devices;
- Learning to operate audio boards;
- Utilizing sound editing software to enhance the audio quality, remove background noise, incorporate music and sound effects, and other audio elements;
- Pitching creative ideas for content;
- Collaborating with team members and assisting in the development of program ideas;
- Researching specific topics and incorporating research into question lines and scripts that are engaging and informative;
- Conducting pre-interviews and recorded interviews in person and with remote technology. like Zoom and Teams;
- Writing content for websites, including series' descriptions, episode descriptions, host and producer bios;
- Assisting with scriptwriting, including drafting engaging and compelling content for radio and podcast episodes
- Supporting the production team with recording, sound editing, and post-production tasks
- Learning and implementing voiceover and hosting techniques under the guidance of experienced professionals
- Assisting with production planning, including scheduling and coordinating various aspects of the production process
- Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and implement brand promotion and audience engagement strategies
- Supporting technical operations, including equipment setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance
- Assisting with the distribution and publishing of radio and podcast content across multiple platforms

**Qualifications**:

- Must be a current or recent FNUniv student
- Must be enrolled in programs offered by Indigenous Communication and Fine Arts, or Indigenous Languages, although students in related FNUniv programs will be considered;
- Must be in good standing academically
- Must have a passion for storytelling and audio production
- Must be interested in working with Indigenous languages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Familiarity with audio recording and editing software is a plus
- Creative and innovative mindset with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work well in a team and independently;
- A keen interest in radio and podcasting

**Salary**:Based on student cumulative credit hours ($13.93 -$20.30 per hour).
