Level 10: $45,205 - $67,811

**Overview**:
University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) Catholic Chaplaincy is seeking a full time Campus Ministerto be a key contributor in the development and execution of an integrated and comprehensive campus ministry program, focused on outreach, discipleship, and Catholic leadership formation for students. The campus minister will be reporting to the Director of Campus Ministry and Priest Chaplain, while working collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to foster a Catholic presence on campus.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize and conduct catechetical programming, faith formation and other events and activities for students, staff and faculty
- Provide pastoral presence, guiding students in their spiritual, moral and personal growth
- Meet regularly with Director of Campus Ministry and Priest Chaplain to discuss progress, opportunities and challenges
- Collaborate with the team to evaluate effectiveness of campus ministry initiatives and engage in long
- term strategic planning
- Assist the Director in fostering collaborative relationships with the University of Toronto Mississauga and its student engagement office and student union, the Archdiocese of Toronto, Archdiocesan partners (i.e. campus ministries, youth ministries, Catholic school boards), to realize the goals and objective of Campus Ministry
- Attend Archdiocesan campus ministry meetings regularly to represent the campus ministry
- Responsible for outreach, engagement and interpersonal evangelization primarily with the students as well as faculty and staff
- Mentor the UTM Catholic Students Club executive members in the fulfillment of their duties
- Assist in training, mentorship and accompaniment of student leaders to foster their development as Catholic leaders
- In collaboration with the Director, create and use social media to engage students and promote the campus ministry
- Assist in fundraising initiatives as appropriate
- Pursue ongoing professional development as appropriate
- Additional duties as assigned

**General Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary degree with related experience
- 1-3 years of experience in ministry (youth, young adult or campus ministry is preferred)
- Active in Catholic faith practice, well-grounded in Roman Catholic tradition, and willingness to uphold Catholic moral teachings
- Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills
- Good organization, planning, time management and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of the personal and spiritual needs of university and college students and the ability to relate well to them
- Flexibility in work scheduling, including evenings and weekends when required
- Ability to work effectively as a collaborative team member
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent command of technology and social media
- A vehicle and a valid Driver’s License
- A criminal background check will be required of the successful applicant
