The Adolescent Health Lab is situated within the Department of Psychology and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at SFU. The Department of Psychology, the largest academic unit within FASS, comprises approximately 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students and 40 faculty members. Much of departmental research is geared toward addressing health to enhance human development.

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Advanced skills and experience in conducting literature reviews including familiarity with systematic reviews and meta-analysis.
- Conceptualizing and leading complex, advanced statistical analyses using SPSS, Mplus, and other software on lead and collaborative projects, and assisting graduate and undergraduate students in developing analytic skills and undertaking statistical analyses.
- Preparing manuscripts and engaging in knowledge translation activities for ongoing research projects.
- Overseeing database construction, development of study procedures, data cleaning and scoring protocols for new and ongoing studies in the lab.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- PhD completed or in advanced progress in Developmental, Clinical, and/or related fields focusing on social-emotional health and developmental psychopathology, with an interest or demonstrated research in adolescent mental health.
- Well-versed in developmental psychopathology, intervention science and advanced data analytic methodology, especially advanced statistical modelling and related programs (R, MPlus, SPSS, etc). Competence in meta-analysis and/or interest in/use of AI for qualitative data analyses are strong assets.
- Strong analytic skills, including experience with structural equation modeling (SEM) and longitudinal data analyses (e.g., growth curve models, cross-lagged panel models).
- Ability to stay up to date with methodological and statistical innovations in psychology.
- Interest in or experience with qualitative analytic techniques is an asset.
- Exceptional writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving skills are required.
- Competence and experience with Qualtrics or other online survey software.
- Ability to work independently and with team members, including students, staff and faculty with a strong commitment to leading research projects that engage our research network of graduate, undergraduate and international researchers.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of community members, staff, and faculty of varying degrees of technical sophistication.
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proactive problem-solving/management skills are required. This includes the ability to verbally communicate complex issues with clarity to different types of audiences (e.g., academic, community).
- Experience with Open Science Practices (e.g., preregistration, open data sharing) is preferred.
- Strong commitment to building your research productivity record to advance your career as a competitive research scholar.
