Centre of English Studies (CES) is a privately-owned group of English as an Additional Language (EAL) schools, founded in Dublin, Ireland in 1979. There are currently eight CES locations: one in Ireland, 5 in the UK, and two in Canada (CES Toronto and CES Vancouver).

Job duties will include:

- teach in-person classes
- create dynamic, interesting lessons using the CES Vancouver curriculum
- maintain a respectful and enjoyable classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- conduct student assessments as required
- keep accurate records of attendance and student performance
- complete all paperwork accurately, thoroughly, and on time
- promptly communicate any classroom or student concerns to Director of Studies
- demonstrate a positive, professional attitude
- accept and incorporate any feedback on classroom performance to ensure a meaningful and positive student experience
- Other duties as required

Qualifications:
Teachers for the ADULT program must possess
- a university degree AND one of either o a TESL certificate from a TESL Canada-recognized institution o or a CELTA or Trinity TESOL certificate.

Teachers for the JUNIOR program must possess
- EITHER a university degree and one of either o a TESL certificate from a TESL Canada-recognized institution, o or a CELTA or Trinity TESOL certificate,
- OR a Bachelor of Education degree (junior/intermediate or senior). o ESL training (within the BEd or external) is an asset but not required.
- One year or more of teaching experience (preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of the English language and current EAL teaching best practices
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Positive, outgoing, open-minded, enthusiastic attitude
- Customer service-oriented approach

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
