Emergency preparedness is a critical aspect of CCH operations. It is essential that all staff and physicians receive training and understand their roles and responsibilities in this field.

**Summary of responsibilities**:
The Physiotherapist provides quality physiotherapy assessment, treatment and education to referred patients/families and caregivers based on a client centered approach; education and clinical training for physiotherapy students and hospital employees; consulting services to community agencies. The physiotherapist performs physical/functional assessment on all referred patients which include: acute inpatients, outpatients and adult rehabilitation inpatients; documents patient assessment, treatment, progress, discharge plans and statistics; initiates and participate in physiotherapy in-services and hospital quality assurance programs as well as embody a culture of caregiver inclusion in the patient’s plan of care.

**Requirements of the job**:

- BSc in Physical Therapy from an accredited Canadian Physiotherapy program
- Licensed with or eligible for licensure with the Ontario College of Physiotherapists
- Good understanding of Quality Improvement
- Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
- Functional proficiency in English, oral and written, and oral French with testing completed

Preferred:

- MSc in Physical Therapy from an accredited Canadian Physiotherapy program
