**Responsibilities**:

- Inspect the truck including checking fluids such as oil and antifreeze before starting in the morning in accordance with pre-trip inspection reports.
- Fill truck with water by placing rubber hose in tank and prepare drum for concrete.
- Receive delivery ticket.
- Add fibers or other products as directed.
- Check slumps and mix of concrete.
- Drive truck in safe manner, arriving at work site with desired slump.
- Safely and effectively backup or pull into jobsite, maneuvering truck through uneven and poor terrain when necessary.
- Place chutes located on rear of truck.
- Unload concrete in courteous, safe, and effective manner.
- Ensure dispatch tickets are signed and assure all job specific information is collected while on site.
- Wash truck with hoses and brush in designated area per contractors.
- Communicate with dispatcher through radio
- Add various ingredients to load such as fibers, cement, and admixtures, when necessary.
- Diarize the addition of materials to the concrete mixture including times, amounts, and reasons.
- Refuel truck daily and perform walk around post inspection.
- Utilize chipper to clean buildup of concrete in drum.
- Maintain exterior and interior truck cleanliness.
- Participate in site safety by completing daily safety reporting and report hazardous work conditions when identified.
- Assist with general labour in the yard from time to time.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid class 3 or class 1 drivers license.
- Clean driving record and willingness to provide a clean drivers abstract.
- 1-2 years of prior commercial driving experience is required.
- Able to lift 50lbs unassisted on a regular basis.
- Previous experience driving a mixer truck or working at a concrete plant is an asset.

Hours of Work
Work schedules are dictated by customer demand and typically span from Monday
- Saturday. Start and end times may vary and are determined based on customer needs. Drivers typically work long days and must be capable of working overtime, evenings, and weekends. Some nightshifts maybe required.
Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug, alcohol, and fit for work testing as part of the hiring process.
