Assistant Manager Group Underwriting Operations

**Description:
- Permanent Full Time- The Assistant Manager of Group Underwriting Operations is responsible for leading and mentoring a team of Underwriting Analysts and Underwriting Assistants.**What you will do**
- Ensure renewals and financial statements preparation aligns with our SLAs
- Lead and inspire a dynamic team of 15 Underwriting Analysts and Underwriting Assistants.
- Foster the growth and development of your team members.
- Efficiently manage workloads and task assignments.
- Collaborate effectively with your peer leaders to proactively manage resources.
- Oversee the staff administration processes for your team including all aspects of performance management.
- Uphold service excellence by meeting quality and service targets.
- Generate insightful reports for workflow management and service standard tracking.
- Champion innovative, customer-centric continuous improvement initiatives.

**What you will bring**
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Group insurance underwriting experience
- Post-secondary education or an equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, retain and motivate high performing teams.
- Excellent coaching abilities.
- Exceptional communication abilities; both verbally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities with a propensity for prioritization.
- Dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
- Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- The base salary for this position is between **$57,100**:

- $95,200 **annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc). If you are selected to move forward in our recruitment process, your recruiter will be able to discuss additional details of our total rewards program with you.- For student opportunities only- For our student opportunities, the base salary will be dependent on the number of work terms you have completed along with other factors depending on your program.-
