This is a fantastic Occupational Health & Safety opportunity within one of the largest mining equipment and aftermarket repair & maintenance OEM suppliers.

You will be reporting into the North America Business Line and Service Execution HSE team, that is part of the global Health and Safety Organization in FLS and responsible for the implementation, administration and training for all HSE-related initiatives, programs and plans to ensure full compliance to Health, Safety and Environmental Processes.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support and manage the HSE program for all activities in the Service Center in Edmonton.
- Support the Service Center Manager, supervisors and workers on methods to foster and monitor a positive HSE culture.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of routine HSE risk assessment, control and management processes in normal operations and in emergencies.
- Support monitoring and measurement of HSE performance.
- Communicate, engage with and influence management, supervisors and workers to mitigate risk and optimize worker health and safety.
- Frequently monitor all shop-related activities for potentially unsafe practices and intervene accordingly, to implement and report corrective actions as needed.
- Conducts Toolbox meetings on daily basis and documents topics, outcomes and action items accordingly.
- Interact and collaborate with Regional Business Line HSE Management on Service Center relevant activities and implement corporate programs in the Service Center as required.

What you bring
- Proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Excel.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
- Previous experience and understanding of Health and Safety or Environmental Management Systems will be an advantage.
- Willingness and desire to learn and develop into a proficient HSE Administrative Specialist must be a goal.
- Microsoft Share Point, Power BI & power Apps experience will be a great advantage.
- Proficiency in English is a pre-requisite.
