**Landscape Labourer**

**Summary**:As a labourer at V.I.L. Landscaping you are expected to perform landscape maintenance, and lawn maintenance tasks, at a high degree of efficiency and quality. Primary tasks you will be completing include but are not limited to lawn mowing, trimming, property clean ups, leaf removal, garden design installation, hedge trimming, snow removal. You will act under the management of your crew lead, and complete tasks based off of their leadership. You are expected to maintain our standard quality of work, ethical values, and professionalism. This position's goal is to provide a reliable, motivated employee that will adopt the values of our company, and constantly look to do their best. Strong communication skills, integrity, and good values are the main factors we look for in our employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete landscape maintenance, and projects, ensuring quality standards are upheld, and crew leaders guidance is followed.
- Help new employees with basic tasks to complete services such as lawn maintenance, property cleanups, and material installations.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns or requests, and communicate them to crew lead.
- Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to bed edgers, hedge trimmers, hand pruners hand and backpack blowers.

**Requirements**:

- 1 year experience in landscape maintenance
- Proficient in operating small landscaping equipment and tools
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects and operating machinery

**Working Conditions**:

- 7AM start with 8-10 hour days of landscape work.
- must be willing to work in any weather conditions. (rain, sun, snow, frost ect. )
- must be focused and attentive at all times while working to ensure safety of emplopyees and public around power equipment.

**How to move forward**:
Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Pay: $17.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Newmarket, ON L3Y 9C2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (required)
