Job Information:
Reporting into the Manager, Technology and Development, you will be engaged in meter data acquisition and collection, verification and validation, and processing in support of Rodan’s industry-leading energy intelligence programs and product offerings. You will work with other development team members to deliver best-in-class solutions. To be successful in this position, you should be a person with strong technical knowledge who is always learning and discovering opportunities in a dynamic, innovative, and ever-changing energy industry

You will be required to work at our Corporate HQ in Mississauga a minimum of 2 days per week to attend and participate in workshops, projects, or team meetings.

Main Responsibilities & Duties:
**_ Support and Operations_**
- Interfacing with metering service providers and utilities, meter data management agencies and clients regarding the provision of metering services, metering installations and metering data
- Interfacing with the electrical system operators for new meter installations, meter upgrades, meter deregistration, and other issues
- Interfacing with field staff, prior to and during commissioning of meter/logger installations and commencement of meter/logger data collection
- Support Rodan staff with audit and technical proposals, engineering drawings and design, order processing, project management, MSP site registration, installation and commissioning, meter trouble reports and maintenance
- Identifying meter data system anomalies or issues, test and document changes for resolution and continuous improvement
- Identifying and investigating E2E data flow issues from meter or logger to Rodan systems and recommending solutions
- Reviewing and analyzing exception reports from various meter data management systems and determining and implementing appropriate actions to resolve
- Collaborating continuously with team members to identify and implement process improvements and best practices, to enhance efficiency and productivity
- Creating documentation of business processes and provide training on new or enhanced processes, when required
- Properly log tickets for operational and project work
- Create/Manage team reporting dashboard

**_ Demand Response Data Management_**
- Collecting, formatting, and processing meter data from different sources for Demand Response (DR) Program measurement data submissions and support the DR contributor management process
- Mapping and uploading data files into Rodan energy intelligence systems and databases
- Creating and performing data validity tests for data quality to ensure that data is accurate and complete
- Providing explanations and support to Market Settlements for use in settlement decision making

**_ MV-90 and Device Programming_**
- Scheduling MV-90-meter interrogation cycles to ensure availability of metered data and to avoid conflict with IESO reading cycles
- Maintaining the metering database and ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of the data contained therein
- Programming meters and configure telemetry and communication devices
- Configuring equipment for real-time and near real-time telemetry using sources such as Modbus, DNP 3.0, and KYZ pulses

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education from an accredited college or university and/or prior related work experience ideally in utility metering or billing
- Experience and expertise in data acquisition from remote data capture systems into internal data intelligence systems
- Strong proficiency with MS Excel to be able to efficiently analyze, process and upload data
- Knowledge of Itron MV-90, Meter and Data Logger programming (Asset)
- ITIL knowledge and experience (Asset)
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Willingness to learn and acquire industry knowledge
