Settlement Counsellor

The Cross Cultural Learner Centre is a non-profit organization, located in London, Ontario, that provides settlement services for newcomers to Canada. We are currently looking for a full-time, temporary **Settlement Counsellor** to join our team. This is a contract position that ends March 31, 2023.

The CCLC is a great place to work and make a difference. This is your opportunity to help newcomers make London their home. This role provides information to our clients about community resources, social services, professional services and government programs. It also assists newcomers, either one on one or in workshops, in understanding Canadian culture, norms, rights & responsibilities and the steps involved in becoming a citizen.

Having a social service background, a deep understanding of the newcomer experience and detailed knowledge of community resources and government programs ensures your success in this role. The ability to speak a newcomer language is a great asset. Ukrainian is very helpful currently.

As CCLC works with vulnerable clients in our community, you'll need to be able to pass a Vulnerable Persons Police Check to work for our organization.
