**Position Summary**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Build Stair orders as per standard operating procedures or as dictated by Supervisor.
- Prior to building, scrutinize and thoroughly understand Stair design layouts.
- Inspect and/or measure precut lumber for length and possible damage or irregularities associated with quality control and standard operating procedures.
- Upon completing a Stair (order), the Stair Assembler will proceed to build subsequent orders or report to the Stair Supervisor for further instructions.
- Thorough and complete organization of tools, materials and workstation and the cleaning and/or disposal of waste is required at all times.
- Regular inspection and maintenance as required for tools and machinery and report any problems or irregularities to the Supervisor.
- Any other duties as assigned by Supervisor(s) Adhere to ZyTech’s safety, quality assurance and standard operating procedures and policies.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum 1 year of carpentry or related experience required
- Physically able to lift up to 50lbs throughout the day.
- Experience operating forklifts and a valid operator’s license would an asset.
- Experience accurately operating power/air tools, use an imperial tape measure, and have basic math skills.
- The comprehension of technical layout design for Stairs.
- Steel-toed work boots and appropriate clothing to work outside are required.
- Ability to read, write and understand English.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Airdrie, AB T4A 2G2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Carpentry/ framing: 2 years (required)
- Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
