**Job description**

A prominent manufacturer in decorative lighting is making a global impact through our design, innovation, and product quality. We are currently seeking a capable individual to join our team as an **Inventory Planner and Logistics Specialist.**

**Our client is recognized in a global market and is a great opportunity for someone who is committed to a year contract (13 months) of experience for a Maternity leave.**

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Monthly demand planning using our **SCM program**: Analyzing historical sales data and forecasting future sales **(utilizing the SCM program).**:

- Placing biweekly orders for our manufacturing facility.
- Reviewing and ordering third-party items as needed.
- Managing spare parts inventory by ordering as required.
- Placing orders for promotional items when necessary (such as new clients, projects, novelties, and initial fillings).
- Assisting the Quotations department with project quotations.
- Optimizing stock allocation to drive sales.
- Tracking all orders to ensure timely production and delivery.
- Contributing to product life cycle management.
- Monitoring and taking corrective actions for overstock and slow-moving inventory.
- Generating customer flyer review files.
- Analyzing and maintaining forecasts.
- Preparing various reports and maintaining spreadsheets.

**Freight Responsibilities**:

- Tracking and prioritizing container shipments
- Comparing freight options to optimize cost savings
- Acquiring and comparing air freight quotes
- Assisting in coordinating international freight
- Generating freight cost reports

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Knowledge of **SAP** is an asset
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar analytical role
- Proficiency in developing and manipulating **Excel** spreadsheets
- Excellent analytical skills
- Quick learning ability and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills with great attention to detail
- Bilingual proficiency
