Employment Period: May 16 - June 20 with possibility of extension

Location: Outdoor Fields at Freedom in Christ Church (1643 Bleams Rd, Kitchener)

Time: Tuesdays from 4:00-7:15 pm

The Huron Community Association offers a variety of different activities for Adults and youth of all ages.

The HCA is looking for staff who are organized, motivated to participate, and skilled at being asset builders for children and youth. You may be asked to also supervise additional volunteers.

Major Responsibilities:

- Plan and organize soccer activities, drills, and games for children ages 2.5-4, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12.
- Coordinate child centered programming and ensure that equipment and supplies are set-up.
- Provide coordination, support and leadership to the other program staff and volunteers.
- Act as a positive role model for program staff, volunteers, and participants.
- Implement positive and effective behaviour management strategies

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of soccer and ability to teach skills required
- Must possess relevant leadership, administration, supervision, communication, social development and positive behaviour management skills
- Must have current Standard First-Aid Certificate
- Police check required upon offer of employment
- Must have strong programming skills with a preferred variety of skills in leading sports to children
- Own transportation to the program location will be required

Recommended age: 18 years of age or older

Rate of Pay: $20.00 hourly

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2-7 months
Part-time hours: 3-4 per week

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- leadership: 1 year (preferred)
- soccer: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: One location

Expected start date: 2023-05-16
