Chief Executive Officer
Position: Chief Executive Officer Location: Shoal Lake No. 40 First Nation
Summary:
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for representation and successful operation of Kekekoziibii Development Corporation (KDC). Their primary focus is to generate sustainable economic activities for Shoal Lake 40 First Nation.
Duties:Supervise all projects, program staff and activities of KDC.
- Prepare annual budgets for the overall corporate administration and any ongoing or time specific projects.
- Stay current with all local, regional, provincial, and national economic development opportunities.
- Coordinate with community resources to ensure the greatest economic benefit for the First Nation.
- Prepare and oversee a long-term strategic plan for KDC and report regularly on the progress of the plan.
- Link support services, education/training providers, career and industry information, and employment opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the KDC Board as required.
- Prepare business plans as required.
- Identify and prepare proposals for new economic development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate financial records of the corporation.
- Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance or Commerce, Business Development or Administration
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and thorough understand of business management
- Strong knowledge of fiscal management and responsibility, business finance, capital funding, contracts, and partnerships
- Thorough knowledge on conflict resolution, solid negotiation, and people management skills
- Valid Driver’s license and ability travel
