We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Sandwich, Salad, and Baked Goods Maker to join our team at a small deli. This position plays a vital role in our deli operations by preparing delicious sandwiches, salads, and baked goods for our customers. As a Sandwich, Salad, and Baked Goods Maker, you will contribute to creating a memorable dining experience for our patrons.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare sandwiches, salads, and baked goods according to our menu and customer preferences.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Handle food products with proper hygiene and safety practices, adhering to food handling regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with sanitation standards.
- Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients used in sandwiches, salads, and baked goods.
- Monitor and replenish supplies, ingredients, and condiments as needed.
- Assist in receiving and storing deliveries of food products and ingredients.
- Collaborate with the deli team to ensure smooth operations and timely service to customers.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer inquiries and special requests.
- Suggest and upsell additional deli items to customers, enhancing their overall experience.
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and practices, including proper storage, handling, and temperature control.
- Stay updated on new food trends, recipes, and techniques to bring innovation to our menu offerings.
- Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Sandwich Maker, Salad Maker, or Baker is preferred.
- Knowledge of different sandwich, salad, and baked goods recipes and preparation methods.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively with the team and interact with customers.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, as per the deli's operational requirements.
- Basic math skills for portioning and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items.
- Food handler's certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.

Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: $16.75-$18.00 per hour
