Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Ottawa Kanata is currently recruiting for a **Breakfast Host**. The Breakfast Host is responsible for welcoming guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

**Key Responsibilities**

**_ Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager or designate, you _**_would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the _**_highest standards: _**
- Greeting and seating guests, and presenting the various breakfast choices;
- Interacting with guests in a friendly, professional manner;
- Answering the phone and taking restaurant reservations;
- Expedite room service orders for guest pick-up;
- Set up and oversee lobby beverage station;
- Restocking supplies and keeping the work area clean;
- Help to set and clear tables as needed; ensure buffet is fresh and stocked;
- Ensure the bar area and lounge is clean and tidy;
- Assist in other areas of F&B as determined by management.

**What We are Looking for...**
- Positive attitude and EXCELLENT customer service skills;
- Good communication, organizational, and time management skills;
- Able to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds and bend for up to 8 hours;
- Excellent grooming standards;
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts that may include weekends, evenings and holidays.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

- Experience in Food and Beverage department and/or hospitality industry;
- Knowledge of Micros, Lightspeed, or other POS systems;
- Smart Serve.
