**Experience in a full service garden centre is what will make you successful. Don’t have that? How about experience as a Florist or you have been gardening since you were young and know your perennials from your annuals? All great experience that we can tap into.**

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Support the daily operation of the retail greenhouse which includes receiving and merchandising of new stock
- Assist customers with purchases including plant selection, seeds, soils and plant containers
- General maintenance & cleanliness of the greenhouse which involves upkeep of plants, removing debris, sorting products on carts and shelves and dusting.
- Able to work outdoors during all types of weather (heat, cold, rain)

**Key requirements for the position are**:

- Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
- Minimum 2 years working knowledge of perennials, annuals, vegetables & tropical houseplants in a full service garden centre is a must (experience as a Florist or home gardening will also be considered)
- Minimum 3 years of customer service experience in a retail environment is required.
- Flexible availability to work 5 days per week (morning, afternoon, stat holidays, weekends) every day of the week. Some evenings to 8 pm in May might be required. **Part time hours currently not available.**:

- Strong customer service skills
- Physically fit in order to lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis and stand, walk and bend for up to 8 hours daily
- Steel toe boots/shoes are required
