**Position Title: Painter/Drywaller**
**Responsibilities**:
- Follows a written scope and other specifications to determine method of installation, work procedures, and material and tool requirements.
- Ensures all equipment, PPE, tools, and material is in working order and on the truck before leaving the building.
- Ensure that all job and Safety related paperwork is completed daily.
- Be responsible for the finished product.
- Smooth and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding.
- Fill nail holes, cracks and joints with drywall mud and putty.
- Tape, float drywall joints to have ready for paint.
- Texture ceilings an asset.
- Paint surfaces using brushes, rollers and paint guns.
- Stain, seal and varnish wood surfaces.
- Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
- Be responsible for keeping the job site organized and clean at all times.
- Criminal record check.
- Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol pre-employment test in accordance with our policies.
**Skills/ Competencies Required**:
- Must lift heavy items of at least 50 lbs on a routine basis.
- Be prepared to work on scaffolding or platforms.
- Emergency or Standard First Aid would be an asset.
- Hold a valid Canadian Driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract.
- Be familiar with the appropriate tools, supplies and techniques.
- Ability to follow technical directions.
- Good communication skills both oral and written.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and team work.
- Ability to work independently.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Time management.
- Willingness to learn new methods and techniques.
**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

**Experience**:
- painting: 1 year (preferred)
