Job Summary:
As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial properties. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of visually appealing and durable surfaces that enhance the aesthetics and functionality of the spaces we serve. Your commitment to precision and customer satisfaction will be vital in ensuring the successful completion of each project.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Prepare work areas by removing old flooring materials, ensuring proper subfloor preparation, and addressing any necessary repairs or leveling.

2. Measure and cut flooring materials, such as carpets, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, or tiles, to fit the installation area accurately.

3. Install flooring materials using the appropriate adhesives, fasteners, and tools while adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.

5. Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand specific design requirements, color schemes, and patterns for the installations.

6. Safeguard surrounding areas from potential damage during the installation process and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

7. Operate various power tools and equipment safely and maintain them in good working condition.

8. Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and installation techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.

9. Comply with safety regulations and follow best practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

10. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and supervisors, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.

**Requirements**:
1. Proven experience as a Flooring Installer or similar role in the flooring industry.

2. Proficiency in installing various flooring materials, including carpets, vinyl, laminate, hardwood, and tiles.

3. Knowledge of subfloor preparation, repair techniques, and installation methods.

4. Ability to accurately measure, cut, and install flooring materials, ensuring precise fits and alignments.

5. Familiarity with different adhesives, fasteners, and tools used in flooring installations.

6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unexpected challenges during installations.

8. Physical fitness and ability to lift and maneuver heavy flooring materials and equipment.

9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.

10. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to reach job sites.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$30.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Winnipeg, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- Skilled Labor: 1 year (preferred)
