**Ice Cream / Gelato Maker**

**Ivy Restaurant (Coach House Creamery)** is seeking a skilled and experienced Part-Time/ Seasonal / or Full Time Ice Cream /Gelato Maker to join our team.

As an Ice Cream /Gelato Maker, you will be responsible for creating signature flavours, as well as following established recipes and maintaining the quality and consistency of our product. You will work closely with the owners of the restaurant and the rest of the team to ensure that we are providing our customers with the best possible experience.

**Experience**:
1 year of ice cream /gelato-making experience preferred; or graduate of a culinary institute or experience working in a restaurant environment or interest in making ice cream/ gelato.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creating and preparing high-quality ice cream/ gelato flavors by following company recipes
- Prepare ingredients and produce homemade bases, and inclusions such as hot fudge, caramel sauces etc.
- Ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned
- Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders as needed
- Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, “scooper” staff; as well as ice cream/gelato assistant(s)
- Ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met
- Assisting with other tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- Experience or interest in ice cream /gelato making
- Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practices
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to supervise staff
- Good communication and organizational skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal or Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour; plus tips

Language Requirement:

- French not required but is an asset.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay
- Tips

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lansdowne (1000 Island / Gananoque area) must have car or transportation
- **Or Seasonal accommodation is available on site.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
