Junior Buyer

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality products for our business. Your responsibilities will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with inventory teams and management. The buyer will work with staff across departments and with the Purchasing Manager, to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on demand. The buyer will also process transfer order between warehouses and ensure they are properly tracked and executed.

The Buyer should be very analytically minded and possess excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budget. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous. The buyer will need to be very organized and have a high attention to details.

**Buyer Responsibilities**:
Research, select and purchase quality products and materials with assistance from Purchasing Manager.
Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing. Build a strong relationship with internal employees and warehouse staff.
Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
Assist in arranging transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with Warehouse Team Leader, Inventory Manager and Purchasing Manager, as required.
Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

**Buyer Requirements**:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or in the process of acquiring such Degree, is preferred.
Relevant experience is preferred.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
Proficient in appropriate software.
Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent ability to work with people, especially during busy times

**Salary**: $48,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
