**Position Summary**:
As a Lead Custodian you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students, staff, and visitors. This multifaceted position requires you to be both a skilled hands-on worker, actively participating in custodial duties, and a competent and dedicated leader. You will lead a team of 5 evening custodians, coordinating their tasks and ensuring efficient cleaning and maintenance operations across the campus. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the daily cleaning routines, managing inventory and supplies, and addressing facility-related issues promptly. As a positive role model who leads by example, you will inspire your team to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene while fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment. Your dedication to excellence will contribute significantly to the overall well-being and positive experience of our school community.

**The duties will include but are not limited to**:

- Assist with training employees in tasks, safety, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate and monitors work activities
- Creates electronic work orders for custodial and maintenance staff when required
- Assist in third party rental of facility and grounds as it relates to the custodial department duties
- Perform quality, service, and safety inspections
- Tracks equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair
- Creates/submits orders for all supplies
- Issue equipment and supplies
- Monitors employees for proper use of personal protective equipment, supplies, and equipment
- Reports employee personnel issues to Operations Manager including accidents and incidents
- Corrects at risk behavior immediately, then reports to Operations Manager immediately
- Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement
- Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedure.
- Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; sweep, mop, or vacuum floors; empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers; refill restroom dispensers
- Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.

- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
- Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments
- Lock and unlock assigned buildings: secure building when facilities are not in use checking for unlocked doors and windows, report any unauthorized occupants, turn off lights
- Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within sixteen feet of buildings using hand-operated tools or small power equipment
- Move furniture, equipment, supplies, and tools on an incidental basis
- Wash accessible interior and exterior windows. Clean blinds. Launder cleaning rags and dust mops
- Attend safety meetings and other related meetings
- Take classes as required in cleaning methods and techniques, new products, First Aid, and working relationships
- Enforce and support policies established by the school
- Perform related duties as required
