Working under the supervision of the Foreman, the Hydro Vac Operator will assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses to support the project construction team. They will also be responsible for driving various types of vehicles and trucks to transport equipment to project sites.

This position is based out of our construction yard in Belleville and includes health benefits, company match RRSP and a terrific work environment.

**Responsibilities**
- Operating the Hydro Vac truck while maintaining the vehicle.
- Transport cargo and/or equipment in a safe manner.
- Use various equipment to move and install material according to project plans.
- Complete the daily maintenance programs as per equipment specifications.
- Complete Driver’s logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident or incident reports.

**Qualifications**
- 2 plus years’ experience preferred driving a hydro vac truck and experience in knowing how to operate the Hydro Vac truck in a safe manner.
- Valid DZ driver's licence.
- Fully trained in the operations and maintenance of the truck and comfortable trouble shooting and minor repairs in the field.
- Comfortable around underground utility services.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with CVOR requirements.
- Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencing.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

**Physical Demands**
Must be able to perform the physical demands of the positions work tasks. These include but are not limited to working outdoors and in confined spaces, movement of equipment and/or materials, frequent climbing of ladders, frequent lifting and pulling of telecommunication cable in excess of 15 lbs. Attention to detail required. Will be required to stand for extended periods of time. All employees will be required to receive applicable health and safety training on an ongoing basis as per legislative and job requirements.
