The Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre (Maples) provides specialized community programs as well as live-in treatment services (serving the entire province). Through its programs and services, the Maples supports families, caregivers and communities in caring for and treating young people with severe and enduring mental health and behavioural difficulties. The Maples also provides services for young people Unfit to Stand Trial, or found Not Criminally Responsible Due to a Mental Disorder. Maples programs include comprehensive care plan services, care plan consultant services, community based services, respite services and live-in services wherein a young person due to the severity of their challenges.

**The Role**
As the Indigenous Cultural Coordinator, you will work as part of a team of multidisciplinary specialists to deliver culturally appropriate service to youth, families and communities. This role supports a holistic view of mental health support through case consultation, as well as training, supervision, mentoring of staff. Supporting the Indigenous Cultural Team, the Indigenous Cultural Coordinator has a profound impact not only in the lives of young people but also strengthens community ties and promotes cultural understanding.

**Qualifications**:
**Education and Experience Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Education or related field and 2 (two) years of related experience; OR
- A two-year health and human services diploma and three (3) years of related experience.

**Related experience must include**:

- Experience working with Indigenous children and youth.
- Experience establishing relationships and working with Indigenous communities.
- Experience providing training and group facilitation.
- Experience supervising or leading a team.

**Preference may be given to applicants**:

- With two (2) years of supervisory experience.
- With experience delivering support services to youth with identified mental or behavioural health.
- With experience using the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD)CRIS-MATC/GENERAL (CLINICAL) systems.
- Who identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.
