**Responsibilities**:
The Clinical Psychologist is an essential member of the Seniors Health team within the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care portfolio of Nova Scotia Health Authority (Central Zone). Psychologists are responsible for the planning, delivery, and evaluation of services. The Psychologist provides assessment, intervention, teaching, research, and consultative services within an interdisciplinary approach to clinical care, and works collaboratively with staff in Geriatric Medicine, Veterans Services and at the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia. Duties include providing psychological assessment and intervention both individually and in a group setting to older adults with a variety of issues (e.g. dementia, adjustment to illness, grief/loss, depression) in addition to providing assessment and treatment (both individually and via groups) to the family members / caregivers of older adults with a diagnosis of dementia.

The Psychologist may be required to provide services throughout the Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services portfolio.

**Qualifications**:

- Masters degree from a recognized, accredited program in Clinical Psychology
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners (NSBEP)
- Minimum of two years training and experience in Health Psychology preferred
- Experience working in geropsychology or a related area of practice preferred
- Experience in group facilitation required
- Experience working with people with dementia and/or their caregivers is preferred
- Competencies in other languages preferred, French an asset

**Hours of Work**:
Permanent, Part-time (20%) position; 15 hours bi-weekly

**Salary Information**:
$36.04 - $47.38/hourly
