Field Service Leader

**Job Purpose**:
This position will be responsible for labour and asset allocation for all aspects of new construction, service and planned programs in relation to powerline. In addition, this position will require performance duties related to a Journeyman Power Line Technician. This position will be responsible for all aspects of safety compliance, A.E.U.S.A and OH&S Standards. This position will require strict adherence and enforcement of EQUS construction and maintenance standards relating to the power line designs established by the Standards Department.

**Duties**
- Work closely with the Safety Specialist to ensure compliance to safety regulations
- Co-ordinate all workflow documents related to service and construction and manage personnel accordingly
- Lead, develop and motivate employees supervised by this position
- Schedule assets and labour for all field operations, except vegetation
- Develop work objectives for each employee that answers to this position
- Talent management, as outlined
- Manage field employee and member concerns
- Ensure proper maintenance of all company tools including managing the timing of service repairs as required
- Assist or lead if required in any incident investigations that may arise
- Develop and monitor standby schedule for power linemen
- Act as secondary or back-up OIC in the area when the System Operator is not available
- Perform member service duties when required
- Approve timesheets for direct reports
- Manage all personnel and equipment associated with planned programs including meter read schedules and staff
- Coordinate with the Distribution Systems Specialist in regards to AMI related duties and problem metes
- Large project construction management
- Quality assurance and quality control for construction projects
- Troubleshoot issues with Standards Department
- Technical duties including but not limited to, switching, OMS, and PPO’s

This position reports directly to the Operations Leader - Integrated Member Services

**Job Requirements and Qualifications**
- Journeyman Powerline Technician with preferably ten years’ related experience, not including apprenticeship
- Minimum three-year leadership experience
- Incident investigation experience and good track record for safety participation
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract, with the ability to obtain a class 3 license
- Technical proficiency in using various apps, outage management systems, and safety programs
