As part of BASF’s Data & AI Powerhouse within the Product Data Semantics team, you will contribute to strengthening and expanding our semantics capabilities. Your primary focus will be on implementing semantics-powered solutions, as well as developing and maintaining ontologies and knowledge graphs.

**As a Semantics Expert, you create chemistry by...**:
- Developing and maintaining ontologies that will serve as the foundation for future knowledge graphs.
- Designing, creating and maintaining knowledge graphs for different business objectives.
- Supporting and providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and domain experts on ontology and knowledge graph exploitation.
- Evaluating and enhancing the team’s data governance policies, standards and best practices for effective ontology and knowledge graphs management.
**If you have...**:
- A Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ontology development, including designing and implementing ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic models.
- Proven experience in knowledge graph creation and exploitation.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, domain experts, and data scientists in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment displaying a proactive and self-driven attitude.
