**Key Responsibilities for Sommelier**:
1. **Wine Selection and Pairing**:

- Curate and maintain an impressive wine list, considering the preferences of our clientele and the cuisine offered.
- Advise customers on wine selection, providing recommendations that complement their food choices and preferences.

2. **Cellar Management**:

- Assist the Wine Director in overseeing the organization and management of the wine cellar, ensuring proper storage and rotation of inventory.
- Conduct regular inventory assessments and collaborate with management to update the wine list as needed.

3. **Service Excellence**:

- Serve as a part-time server during peak hours, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Knowledgeably present wine offerings, describe flavor profiles, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.

4. **Wine Education**:

- Host wine tastings and educational sessions for staff and customers to promote wine knowledge and appreciation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new releases, and emerging winemakers to provide insightful information to guests.

5. **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop wine pairings for special menus or events.
- Work closely with the management team to create promotions or events that highlight the wine program.

**Qualifications**:
1. Certified Sommelier or equivalent wine certification.

2. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.

3. Strong knowledge of different wine regions, grape varieties, and winemaking techniques.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to lift and carry trays of glassware and bottles.

6. Customer-focused with a passion for delivering outstanding service.

7. Flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Describe and guide guests confidently on all elements of the food and beverage menus
- Actively participate in the cycle of service to promote, educate, and offer wine to guests
- Strong food & beverage knowledge and the desire to continuously learn
- Passion for creating unique guest experiences
- To learn and maintain an in-depth knowledge of our food, its components, preparation techniques, ingredients, and purveyors we have relationships with

**Qualifications for Success**:

- Minimum 2+ years of related beverage, food, and service experience
- Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality
- Ability to provide warm, humble, and knowledgeable service
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong task and time management abilities
- Willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation
- A polished, professional demeanor, with a warm and hospitable disposition
- Experience in fine dining is preferred
- Serving It Right Certificate
