**Job Description**:
**AECOM** is actively seeking a highly motivated **Geotechnical EIT** to be based in **Mississauga, ON.**.
- This position is expected to begin in August 2023._

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Conduct site inspections and preparation of site observation reports.
- Support engineers carrying out projects requiring geotechnical work: site investigations, settlement analysis, foundation design, slope stabilization, and construction.
- Prepare drawings, technical memos, management plans, geotechnical, and design reports.
- Prepare proposals for low to medium complexity projects for various geotechnical scope of work.
- Work with other geotechnical staff in Ontario/Quebec markets as well as across Canada to provide the geotechnical design services to current and prospective clients.
- Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, subcontractors, engineering consultants, and other external agencies.
- Frequent travel to complete field investigation assignments which include but may not be limited to: borehole drilling investigations and geotechnical assessment projects.

**Qualifications**:
**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Geotechnical, Geological, or Civil Engineering, etc.)
- Currently registered as Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with PEO or eligible for registration.
- Valid G class driver's license

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Post graduate degree in engineering.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in geology field work or geotechnical engineering.
- Knowledge and experience in geotechnical site characterization and mapping
- Knowledge of working with relevant software such as gINT, GeoStudio (Slope/W, etc), SETTLE3D, LPILE, CADD, and MicroStation.
- Strong written and oral communication skills for meetings, design reports and technical memos
- A strong commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Previous experience working in an engineering consulting environment.
- Have strong organizational ability, manage multiple projects, and deliver on time and on budget.
- Knowledge in rock mechanics engineering and project experience.
- MTO medium to high complexity project experience.
- Construction oversight, QA/QC, contract administration.
- Coordination of designs with drafting teams and/or personal proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Experience with project management.
- Proposal writing, job scoping, and project plans.
- Highly developed written communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills; conduct yourself with integrity, work within multi-disciplined teams, deal with complex issues, and maintain effective working relationships.
- Have a high level of initiative and enthusiasm for getting things done.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Excel and Word.
