**What You’ll Do**

As the Winter Road Crew Labourer, you will perform basic maintenance of assigned vehicles in order assure its reliability and safe operation. You will be responsible for reading gauges and adjusting equipment to maintain proper performance in order to assure quality and accuracy. Other duties will include:

- Follow all safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions, while operating equipment, in order to protect personal safety and the safety of others.
- Use practices consistent with company policies and procedures from applicable technical modules, SOPs, work site, and safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work accurately with numbers and perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Proactively handle safety issues and practice Take 5 process by using the HAT tool to promote personal responsibility for safety.
- Maintain safe working conditions and assure that all crew members and others on the site follow all safety and regulatory procedures and practices to ensure a safe and successful event.
- Frequent exposure to harsh weather conditions, site rolling equipment hazards, hazardous and explosive materials
- Ability to operate mobile equipment in remote locations
- Working conditions are primarily outdoors in all weather conditions of temperature and climate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment where required, and may require lifting of 60 lbs.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Good work habits. Prior manual labor experience preferred.
- Must satisfy the requirements for a “Clearance Approval Letter” as defined by NRCAN.
- Good record keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English, and to communicate in writing and verbally.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
