Jardeg is recruiting Insulator Apprentices for Suncor Firebag project team _**on site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a permanent position on **_14/14 rotation, 12 hours per day._**

Insulators apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass) on all types of industrial equipment (duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels).

**An Insulator will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks**:

- Demonstrate the installation, fitting, fabrication and attachment of insulation, finishing and weatherproofing materials to a high standard of workmanship
- Use efficiently and safely all hand and power operated equipment used by the insulation industry
- Read and correctly interpret blueprints, specifications and building codes
- Thoroughly describe insulation materials and their uses
- Describe all systems requiring insulation
- Co-ordinate insulation work with other trades on the job site
- Comply with all safety regulations of the construction industry
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with quality and production standards required by industry

**Position Qualifications**:

- CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
- OSSA/ESC Approved Fall Protection
- OSSA/ESC Approved Confined Space Entry & Monitor
- OSSA/ESC Elevated Work Platform/Ariel Work Platform
- WHMIS 2015
- Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE)Training certification
- Valid Full Class 5 Driver’s License
- Apprenticeship Ticket
- Valid Government Issued Identification
