**Nature and Scope**:
This new YMCA Connections program is designed to help participants improve language skills, connect to the community, learn about Canadian Culture, and fight social isolation and more.

This position is responsible of organizing and delivering the Connections Community Kitchens/Conversation Clubs for Temporary Foreign Workers, leading a team of volunteers, outreach in the community and workshops for temporary foreign workers in collaboration with the Manager of the Family Development Centre. Administrative work and program delivery happens at the Robert Lee YMCA. The programs, developed by the facilitator are structured to introduce Temporary foreign workers to Canadian Culture and support community connection. The environment is fast paced and involves weekend and evening work. The incumbent will be resourceful, flexible and passionate about supporting temporary foreign workers.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Event and activity planning for community kitchen/conversation clubs and workshops.
- Assists with the development and maintenance of workshop material; updates curriculum when needed
- Facilitates interactive and relevant workshops
- Builds and maintains community partnerships
- Completes case note documentation, workshop attendance and handles confidential data; ensures quality audit measures are achieved in accordance with the YMCA and funder’s standards
- Conducts marketing and outreach for the program
- Processes invoices, financial claims and cheque requests and supports the team and the manager with compiling data for financial reports and statistics
- Provides administrative support for the following processes: program promotion, participant intake and registration, processing of sensitive information, completion of financial documents and funder reports
- Provides scheduling coordination for virtual and in-person workshops for program delivery and recruitment workshops
- Communicate with program participants regarding workshops, schedules, program changes and respond to any program participant inquiries
- Supports the Quality Assurance of service delivery across the Employment and Immigrant Services Department: Standardizing processes for recruitment, intake, follow-up, exiting and maintenance of program and client files
- Consults and collaborates with team members
- Tracking
- Ensures YMCA and funder program targets are achieved; completes and maintains members' files and reports as per YMCA and funder quality standards
- Integrates the value of philanthropy and volunteerism in dealings with members, volunteers, donors and staff

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree preferred, or diploma
- Minimum of two years of team supervision, group facilitation experience, job coaching an asset
- Experience working with various participant target an asset (including underrepresented populations)
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills
- Knowledge of community resources
- Well developed interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers
- Commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to the diverse needs of members including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
