**We are currently seeking Red Seal Commercial Flat Roofers/Commercial Flat Roofer apprentices.**

**Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Strong understanding of a variety of roofing systems
- Participation in daily hazard assessments and weekly toolbox meetings
- Installation of specialized roofing materials and supplies
- Safely handle and store propane, torches, solvents, and adhesives
- Accuracy and organization in completing site paperwork
- Utilize clear lines of communication and treat others with dignity and respect
- Provide guidance and support to new workers
- Responsible for the safe use of all power tools
- Work within safety guidelines, and comply with WCB Safety Regulations

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled at working effectively both independently and with others
- Working knowledge of a variety of roofing systems (EPDM, TPO, SBS, PVC)
- Strong job planning skills and can easily change tasks as needed to complete the job
- Ability to perform the physical aspects of the job including, but not limited to standing, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting heavy equipment and supplies
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time and safely climb ladders, scaffolding and stairwells to work at heights greater than 10 feet
- Capable of protecting yourself and others from the outside elements including but not limited to cold and hot temperatures, the sun, wind, and limited visibility

**Hiring Requirements**:
Minimum 2-5 years experience in commercial flat roofing
Red Seal or Apprenticeship (Sheet Metal Worker / Roofer, Damp and Waterproofer) is considered an asset

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
