**Working Hours**:Weekdays, 35 hours, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm (some flexibility between semesters)

**NATURE AND SCOPE**

Under the authority of the Coordinator, Library Services, the Reference Librarianprovides research assistance, collaborates with other Library staff in the development of information literacy activities and the delivery of in-class workshops, and develops Library support services to meet digitizing and archiving needs across the College.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provides in-depth academic reference services to students, faculty and staff
- Supports the development of activities and tools to strengthen information literacy skills and research methodologies
- Offers workshops on the efficient use of the Library and its print and digital resources, on academic integrity and plagiarism, and other relevant topics
- Creates library guides, content bibliographies, and any other appropriate tools for users
- Develops and implements Library support services to meet digitizing and archiving needs across the College
- Participates in the Library’s projects as required, including collection development and the exploration of new resources and technologies
- Collaborates in the preparation and delivery of special events in the Library
- Encourages and upholds an atmosphere of decorum in the Library

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from an ALA-accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in an academic environment
- Comprehensive knowledge of emerging trends, new technologies and advancements in information services
- Excellent computer literacy skills and knowledge of digital online resources
- Excellent spoken and written English; working knowledge of French represents a strong advantage
