Grand River Raceway has an exciting opportunity for a

**Blacksmith**

**(June - Sept / Mon/Wed/Fri**

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Repair and Tack Shoes
- Handling a variety of animal temperaments
- Emergency services during practices & races
- Collaborate with external stakeholders (including drivers, trainers, judges)

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 1-2 years of previous Blacksmith experience
- Must have or be able to obtain a valid AGCO license
- General understanding of the operational and regulatory structure of horse racing

**WORK CONDITIONS**
- Ability to work race date evenings (Mon-Wed-Fri) & holidays (June-Sept)
- Exposure to hazards associated with Equine Industry
- Extended periods sitting
