**Mechanical Engineer-in-Training - Project Delivery Group - Saskatoon Office**

**Position Summary**:
Hatch is seeking a Mechanical Engineer-in-Training with interest in Mechanical or Piping system design. Reporting to the Mechanical/Piping Discipline Lead Engineer you will support projects globally working from the Saskatoon office with opportunities to work in other Hatch offices and at project job sites.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work collaboratively to share the results of your work with senior members of the discipline and / or other Hatch groups
- Prepare equipment specification packages, construction work packages, or piping calculation reports, to be checked by senior colleagues and used to support engineering documents to be used by internal and external stakeholders
- Become knowledgeable of various mechanical equipment, analytical software and tools, piping systems and specifications, discipline workflows and execution, and other industrial components / processes you are assigned to assess
- Participate in office and site safety training and inductions as needed to support office and site activities
- Perform field verification, and provide field support during construction.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work in other Hatch offices or project work sites (including remote sites) as needs and opportunities arise
- 3D model and 2D drawing production and/or checking

**Education and Experience**:

- Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Registration as an engineer-in-training.
- Minimum two years’ project engineering experience
- Academic or work experience with Mechanical software AFT Fathom, Ansys, Sidewinder, MathCAD, and Bentley MicroStation CAD software is an asset.
