Hexcel Construction has been one of the lower mainland's premier site servicing contractors since 1985. We are currently looking for passionate individuals who would like to establish careers in the construction industry.

The Experienced Mainline Operator position will involve the operation of various machinery for site servicing and utility installation purposes. The following machines are the most commonly operated by Experienced Mainline Operators:

- Medium - Large Excavators: JD225, JD245, JD345

The following tasks will be consistently performed during the position:

- Safe and efficient operation of the equipment listed above
- Loading and moving construction materials
- Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
- Digging/operating around potentially hazardous utilities
- Daily inspection & light maintenance of equipment
- Daily involvement in safety conscious activities such as tailgate meetings
- Yearly involvement is safety training programs
- Other various construction activities
- At least 6 years of operating experience with one or more of the machines listed above (or equivalent) - civil and/or utility experience is preferred (roadworks, storm, sanitary, water, hydro/TELUS, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be organized, goal-orientated and enjoy working in teams

The position is full time and offers competitive pay. Rates can vary from $40-$44 per hour depending on experience level. Also included are insurance, disability, health and dental benefits and an RRSP matching program. A company vehicle (with fuel tank) may be provided after a certain number of years worked.

Please note that we do not accept recent Heavy Operating School students as Experienced Operators. We require field experience to be considered "experienced."

**Salary**: $40.00-$44.00 per hour
