Groundskeeper/handyperson

**OVERVIEW**:
The Groundskeeper/Handyperson is responsible for the landscaping and lawn maintenance of the outdoor grounds. Main duties include planting greenery, cutting and maintaining the healthy growth of plants and grass, and keeping the grounds clean and well-manicured. The Groundskeeper/Handyperson maintains lawns, gardens, and shrubberies and oversees raised bed planting.

Hours of work from April - October 25-40 hours per week.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Pruning shrubs, trimming bushes, and adding fertilizer to maintain growth, etc.
- Spraying plants and trees to protect them from insects and disease.
- Watering lawns and plants as needed.
- Using and maintaining landscaping equipment such as mowers, clippers, and blowers.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience in safely using and maintaining the tools required for the position.
- Highly motivated to work independently.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Willing and able to work in all weather, as safety permits.
- Experience with minor home repairs is desirable.
