We are looking for a team of casuals that are available for on call day or night shifts to fill future vacations / holidays.

**All applicants must provide to be considered for hire**:

- a criminal record check
- First Aid and CPR certificate
- Food Safe certificate
- Immunization Records including Negative TB.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza

**Qualifications**:

- Home Support/Resident Care Aide Certificate OR equivalent Education / Training / Experience with references
- Medication administration experience (on-site training available if needed)
- Self-Driven and capable to work alone and unsupervised or in a team
- Available to work 12 hour shifts: days, nights, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle (there is no bus routes to our care homes location)

**Daily tasks vary depending on the time of your shift. You could do all or some of the following in a 12 hour period**:

- Assist our 6 residents with their activities of daily living. (includes showering, toileting, grooming, dressing, cueing, supervision, and lifts)
- Plan, prepare, cook and serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and/or snacks based on a supplied menu.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties / home management.
- Follow individual care plans, doctors orders and administer medications as per pharmacy instruction.
- Maintain charts, flow sheets, and other relevant documentations as per policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with a small team and report any incidents/medical changes
- Works as a team member with all staff by reporting any unsafe conditions and/or changes in a client's condition/behaviour OR reports any maintenance issues / emergencies to the on-site management team.
- Engage with residents on a personal level and deal with any behaviors
- Assist residents in the pool on set pool days. (weather pending)

We are a 6 bed care home that provides 24/7 care for adults in a non-institutional setting. Work in a beautiful and relaxing setting surrounded by trees and nature. Gain valuable one-on-one experience dealing with brain injuries and learn to become very quick on your feet with problem solving and negotiations.

**Salary**: $22.38 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff / residents / visitors are fully vaccinated and are sometimes tested for COVID-19 via onsite Rapid Tests. Also all outbreak prevention protocols are closely followed.
