**Marina Manager**

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Oversee all aspects of the marina’s operations, including but not limited to: slips, boathouses, guest services, maintenance, and security
- Ensure that the marina is operated in a safe, clean, and orderly fashion at all times
- Develop and implement short and long-term plans for the marina’s growth and development
- Handle customer complaints and concerns in a prompt and professional manner
- Train, direct, and supervise the Marina staff, including dock attendants, guest services personnel, and maintenance workers, ensuring professional and courteous customer service; establish and communicate clearly defined goals and objectives for the Marina team
- Ensure complete utilization and accuracy of the Marina’s management software system to manage all slips and vessels, including both annual contract customers and transient moorage visitors
- Enforce all rules and regulations governing the use of the marina facilities
- Inspect the marina’s physical plant and equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are well-maintained and in good working order
- Serve as the primary contact for all media inquiries regarding the marina
- Responsible for managing and maintaining industry recognized safety programs and best practices and procedures documentation
- Responsible for the implementation and administration of a Marina emergency response program
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- High school diploma required. University/college degree in business management, economics, hospitality, asset management or equivalent preferred. Applicants with a combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered
- Required 5+ years progressive experience in customer service and management roles
- Must have knowledge of the recreational boating, maritime and water sports industry, familiarity with boat maintenance and repair, and a working knowledge of boating and maritime regulations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Proven track record of success in achieving goals and targets
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Valid B.C. driver’s licence, have reliable transportation and live within 30 minutes’ drive of the marina.

**Preferred Skills and Qualifications**
- Previous experience in managing a 50 plus slip marina
- Experience managing staff and budgets
- Ability to operate marine equipment
- PCOC boating licence
- Restricted Radio Operator’s Certificate Marine
- First aid and CPR certification

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

- Ladysmith, BC V9G 1L7: Relocate before starting work (required)
