Thiru's Gourmet is a local food company in Waterloo.
We make ready-to-eat foods in mason jars and focus on healthy, flavourful products. We are proud to support the Ontario Made program and our local community.
We sell our products to consumers at tradeshows and retailers.
We are looking for a friendly and outgoing Brand Ambassador to represent our brand. You will work independently to promote our brand at retail locations and events.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Sampling and Promotion**:
- Conduct product sampling at retailers for 3-4 hours at a time.
- Introduce the brand to customers and explain product benefits, including health aspects and unique flavours.
- **Brand Representation**:
- Act as the face of brand and communicate our story.
- Provide detailed information about our products, including allergens, storage tips, and usage ideas.
- **Social Media**:
- Take photos and videos for social media campaigns.
- **Retail Support**:
- Work with retail partners to ensure our products are well-displayed and supported.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong ability to work independently and take responsibility.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for food.
- Able to carry up to 40 lbs (~weight of a case).
- A full G driver's license is an asset.
- Previous experience in customer service or promotions is a plus.
**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week
