We are looking to hire experienced line leads for a food manufacturing company located in Mississauga. Food manufacturing is a must, as is someone who's able to work with minimum supervision.

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead and direct associates on the line to maximize throughput.
- Plan, strategize, and lead their team to meet goals daily.
- Assist the production supervisor in planning and executing the employee break plan.
- Ensure or enforce all GMP procedures.
- Maintain professional, timely communication between all team members and departments.
- To always work in a safe manner, keeping safety top priority.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure the equipment is set up to begin production on time.
- Monitor quality on the line and ensure adherence to product specifications.
- Monitor production and efficiency targets and communicate information to machine operators and production associates.
- Minimize waste and rework throughout the line.
- Ensure the line is balanced and reassign associates when required to optimize production efficiency and flow.
- Ensure production documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure product changeover times are minimized and carried out efficiently.
- Maintain urgency and efficient use of time on the line.
- Other duties, as assigned.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**
- Good leadership ability.
- Ability to build trust and respect.
- Flexibility of hours when necessary.
- Some work on statutory holidays and/or weekends as required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good team player.
- A good understanding of GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Principles) is an asset.
- Two years of manufacturing experience.
- Food industry experience is an asset.

**MINIMUM CRITERIA**
- Must have good attendance and reliable transportation.
- Must have a good and positive attitude toward change.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Able to stand and walk throughout the shift.
- Able to lift up to 25 kg.
