Babysitter/nanny

Loving couple with a 1.5-year-old son in Sudbury hiring a full-time (M-F) **live out** nanny for approximately 40 hours per week. Our ideal nanny is calm, loving, empathetic, and has a positive demeanor. Our son enjoys spending time outside, making it essential for the potential nanny to enjoy being creative with games and activities, both indoors and out. One parent is on-site m most days working remotely, so can provide support or guidance if needed.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children under the age of 3.
- Must be able to speak and read in French. Our son only speaks French.
- Non-smoker.
- A vehicle, driver’s license, and a cautious approach to driving. No criminal record and a completed vulnerable sector check.
- Willingness and ability to follow Canadian public health guidelines with regards to getting COVID and flu shots. Proof of vaccination is required.
- Children’s first aid certification or willingness to take the course (we will pay for it as well as your time).
- A love of being outdoors with children in all seasons.
- A love of teaching children.
- 2-3 verifiable references.

**Primary responsibilities**:

- Supervise and care for our child.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Dress and feed our child. Prepare nutritious snacks. Change diapers.
- Follow nap routine.
- Prepare and organize age-appropriate activities including outdoor time, crafts, baking, games, as well as outings.
- Read in French to our child.
- Tend to the emotional well-being of our child.
- Light housekeeping, including tidying up after child.

Pay: $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Monday to Friday
